1000 Headphones is an ongoing project by Hamburg based photographer and conceptional artist Volker Meissner. The project uses the love of music to create a steadily growing mosaic of our society, connecting individuals - who are actively sealing themselves off - of all ages, from all social backgrounds, nationalities, and mindsets. Title, artist, and tempi make up the structure, and each single person makes it lively and new again and again. Quer durch alle Altersgruppen, sozialen Schichten, Nationalitäten und Gedankenwelten verbindet es – sich eigentlich abschottende – Individuen über ihre Liebe zur Musik zu einem stetig wachsenden Mosaik unserer Gesellschaft.
